Please reach us at info@hwy34hay.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We run a family farm that produces hay for livestock (cows, horses, goats, etc.). We cut and bale that hay from our own lands, use what we need for our own cattle operations, and sell the remainder.
Yes, very much so. Feel free to drive into the driveway and honk your vehicle's horn. Keep in mind, however, that we are actively operating the farm and ranch and may not be there to greet you. It is best to send an e-mail with the day and time that you wish to drop by. Knowing that, we will be there with someone who can answer any questions you may have and help you load your bales.
No, there is no restriction (well, up to the number we have in stock!). We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. So it is best to get your bales as early in the season as possible. You can pay for some bales, and then delay taking delivery of them. If that is something that interests you, please stop by or e-mail us so we can discuss how long you wish us to hold your bales before getting them or having them delivered.
The My Bales program is a way to ensure that our customers have the hay they need for their livestock throughout the entire hay feeding season. Click on the My Bales entry above for a separate FAQ just on that program. It's very nice!
No, sorry. In order to keep our costs low and keep the price of each bale at a reasonable point, we do not accept credit cards or checks. We accept cash only.
Yes, but on a limited basis. We will deliver between 1-6 bales of hay per delivery trip for a flat fee of $50 per trip (example: if you order 10 bales then that would be 2 delivery trips at $50/trip = $100 total delivery cost). There is a 20 mile travel radius from our farm included in this price.
Additionally, we will deliver the bales using a "drop trailer" -- one that simply drops all bales onto the ground next to the trailer. We do NOT transport a tractor with the delivery trailer so movement of the bales to the final storage area on your property would be your responsibility.
Our trailer is over 25' in length. Each buyer must provide a turnaround area on their property sufficiently large enough so that we can make the delivery and then turn the delivery truck and trailer around in order to exit the property easily and safely.
Please see the map below for a picture of that 20-mile delivery radius.
We can deliver outside of the 20-mile radius, but first please e-mail us with your delivery location and we will then provide a quote to you for the delivery.
